Location: Haigh Hall, Wigan
Our fairytale wedding will take place in the Grand Ballroom at Haigh Hall on Friday 17th July 2009. We officially get married at 2:15pm so please arrive for the ceremony by 1:45pm so you dont miss anything. The ceremony is due to last approx 30 minutes and a drinks reception and photos will follow until about 4:30pm when we will sit down for the yummy wedding breakfast.
We chose to have a civil ceremony at Haigh Hall due to fact neither of us a very religious and a civil ceremony gives us the chance to personalise our wedding to suit us so look out for those special touches.
The reception will follow at Haigh Hall (that's right no moving around), and evening guests are invited to start attending from 7:30pm onwards.
The bar will be open until approx 1am therefore taxis home or onto local hotels should be booked for approx 1am.
Haigh Hall is set within 250 acres of beautiful country park and woodland, the Grade II Listed Hall is a vantage point for spectacular views across the Douglas Valley to the Welsh Hills. The Hall is completely accessible as modifications include a lift and automatic doors.

Haigh Country Park is within easy reach of both the M6 (Junction 27) and the M61 (Junction 6).
If approaching from the M6, take the A49 towards Standish, then the B5239 to Haigh. Look out for the B5239 and Aspull, then Haigh, when leaving the M61.
Alternatively, Haigh Country Park can easily be found close to the two main A roads, the A6 and the A49. The B roads to look for are the B5238 and the B5239.
Parking is available at Haigh Hall on the designated Car Parks, please do not park by the hall itself as this will spoil the photographs. Thank you.

Should anyone require hotel accommodation, please note Haigh Hall does not have accommodation and rooms will therefore need to be booked at local hotels. We would recommend either:
The Brocket Arms (Wetherlodge)
Kilhey Court (Macdonald Hotels)

We cannot wait for you all to share our special day with us and your presence at our wedding is more important than presents. Many people have already asked us about a gift list so we put a little something together.

However, if you prefer not to give cash, we have a registry on this website where you could suprise us with a gift on our honeymoon in Mexico or if you prefer please suprise us in your own special way.
The most important thing to use is that you share in our day by being there.
